Julia Ann Bier - 10/11/40-3/24/2023 - Julie was born in Brooklyn, NY to Floris and Sidney Epstein. She was very close to her two older sisters, Ellen Bloom and Naomi Bromberg. Julie was a graduate of Lafayette High School. Always a big sports fan, she followed the Brooklyn Dodgers in her youth and later became a huge Mets fan who never missed a game. Her father was a doctor and she had a lifelong interest in medicine, which included more than 30 years as a medical secretary and bookkeeper at Matawan Medical Associates. She was a devoted wife for more than 62 years to Stuart Bier, who died last year. Julie — the mom of Stephen, Richard and Jonathan; grandma of Daniel, Lydia, Rachel and Sam; and mother-in-law of Jerilyn, Nelia and Wendy —was loved by all. She was a talented knitter and a killer mahjong player.
