Ruth G. Spector

Ruth G. Spector, age 87, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Ruth was born in Brooklyn, New York to Sam and Fay Glazer. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Martin and she is survived by her three children Jeffrey, Phyllis and Steven. Seven grandchildren and her younger sister Lynne Zaklin.

Ruth received a degree in teaching from Brooklyn college, and then worked as an English teacher for a number of years. While in college she met the love of her life Marty; they were happily married for 60 years. They had a wonderful loving relationship. Dedicated and loving to each other to the end.

Ruth and Marty ran a successful Tupperware business and worked side by side for 20 plus years. Ruth was a savvy business woman. When she and Marty retired they moved to Four Seasons in Lakewood, NJ.

They traveled, participated in community theater , and Ruth and Marty enjoyed time with new and old friends. Ruth was founder and president of the Four Seasons chapter for Deborah Hospital. She and Marty ran the chapter and multiple fundraisers and raised over $20,000 for the organization by making and selling challah bread during the Jewish holidays as well as other donations through their fundraising efforts. In addition to Deborah she and Martin helped countless others through their work with Harbor House and the Juvenile diabetes foundation to name a few.

She loved to be creative and often enjoyed making jewelry for her family.

Some of Ruth’ favorite memories were those made during her summers on Long Beach Island with her family, Jeff, Jackie & Cameron, Phyllis, Marc, Ryan & Sage, Steven, Courtney, Noah, Little Ryan, Isaac & Jacob. Ruth adored her Grandchildren.

Ruth was generous and loved serving a holiday meal for family and friends she always had more and more to give; unfortunately there is NO MORE.

A graveside service for Ruth will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 0856
