Sandra Friedman

Sandra “Sandi” Friedman, 81 of Summerville, SC (formerly of Oakhurst, NJ) passed away peacefully at her home on April 5, 2023 after a long and full life. Born in Newark, NJ she was the daughter of the late Sigmund and Bessie Lipson.

Sandi was a 1959 graduate of Weequahic HS and went on to become a Registered Nurse through the Newark Beth Israel Nursing School. Sandi lived the majority of her life and raised her family in Oakhurst, NJ and was an active member of Temple Beth Torah/Congregation Torat El.

She was predeceased by her husband Harvey S. Friedman. She leaves behind three sweet sisters, Miriam Kaufman and her husband Martin, Phyllis Solden and her husband Allan, and Maxine Lipson Marignani and her husband Carlo as well as three wonderful sons who adored her; Michael Friedman and his wife Gidget, Brian and his wife Cari-ann, and Steven and his wife Miriam. Sandi was also the loving and very proud Bubbe of 7 grandchildren: Jillian, Joshua, Matan, Edan, Merav, Hudson and Lincoln and a great granddaughter, Harper; as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be graveside Sunday, April 9th at 11:00am at Agudath Achim Cemetery in Neptune, NJ.
