William (Bill) Rubin, 89, loving husband of Marcia, dear brother of Shirley, father of Jill (Greg) and Ilene (Tony), Poppy to Kevin (Kimberly), Gary (Emily), Lucas (Amelia), Griffin, great-grandfather to Alexandra, Mia, Andrew and Hailey, and extended family of many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends passed away peacefully on April 15, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Aaron and brother, Herbie.
Bill was a veteran of the Korean War and served in Germany. He was the proprietor of Towne Jewelers in Maywood and Ramsey, NJ. Bill was an avid traveler, fisherman, and photographer.
Bill was the quintessential family man. Nothing brought more joy to him than seeing his wife and children happy. As the family began to grow, the joy in BIll’s heart grew. With the addition of the grandchildren and their spouses and then the great-grandchildren, Bill’s joy and happiness was shared with all whom he came in contact with. There was nobody who knew Bill who did not hear about the happiness his family brought him.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 19 at 11:00AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Highway 35, Ocean, NJ 07712. A private graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Seabrook Resident Care Fund, 3000 Essex Rd., Tinton Falls, NJ 07753, Seabrook Veteran’s Group, ℅ Gary Baldwin, 3000 Essex Rd., Tinton Falls, NJ 07753 or to a charity of your choice.
