Beckley-Nancy Jean Hatfield, 77, of Manor House Apartments, Beckley, formerly of Crouch’s Farm, was welcomed into the presence of Jesus Christ on September 13, 2014. Born May 17, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Maysie Toler. Nancy was a homemaker that enjoyed spending time hanging out with her daughter, Elaine, and her grand dog Reese and her numerous friends at Manor House. Jean loved gardening and was an “expert” at canning. She enjoyed doing puzzles and loved being told her and Elaine were “partners in crime”. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Toler and a sister, Sara (Kitty) Epperhart. Those left to cherish her memory are her two children; her son, David Hatfield of Clear Fork and her daughter, Elaine Hatfield of Beckley; brothers and sisters, Margie McClellan, Sue Blair, Audria Toler and her husband Dorsey, Sharon Toler and her husband Clint, Homer Toler, Sally Stewart and her husband Jr., Tommy Toler and his wife Leda, Betty Blankenship and her husband Alan; brother- in- law Ed Epperhart, and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family. Her daughter, Elaine was honored and counted it a privilege to look after her in life. Jean loved being a mother and took on many roles as a father, teacher, nurse, counselor and most important a friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone. Heaven received a beautiful soul on the evening of September 13. No services have been scheduled.
