She was born on February 22, 1934 in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Juan Loya† and Maria Luisa Loya (Mama Licha)†. She married Salvador C. Alvarado† on January 1, 1949 and was married for 61 years.
She was a house wife, displaying a wonderful family life. She enjoyed gardening and tended to her plants, flowers and trees. She was the true meaning of unconditional love. She had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. To know her, was to love her. She was a devout catholic and member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and former member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Morton, Texas where she also participated in the church choir.
She is survived by her brothers, Juan Roberto Loya (Bertha), Antonio Loya (Maria) and sisters Olga Martinez† (Benjamin), Graciela Baeza (Jose), Armida Rios (Ruben), Blanca Contreras (Mario), Ivonne Zavala (Luz). And her children Alma Hernandez (Jose), Ofelia Martinez (Juan J.†) Salvador Alvarado (Lenor†), Martha Imelda Montoya (Rudy), Irma Munoz (Lalan†), Antonia Romero, Letty Brooks (Tommy), Norma Tobar (David), Saul Alvarado (Maria), Sandra Wygle (Brad), Oscar Alvarado (Sonia), Romulo Alvarado (Dora), Her 5 generations of grandchildren totaling 166, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents Juan Loya and Maria Luisa Loya, her husband Salvador C. Alvarado, her sister Olga Martinez and baby brother Hector A. Loya.

A rosary will occur Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2633 Conover Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A committal service will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ector County Cemetery, 300 South Dixie Boulevard, Odessa, Texas 79761.
