Alfred Lee Rollie Sr.

ODESSA, TEXAS – Alfred Lee Rollie “Zok”, age 66, of Odessa passed away on December 9, 2021 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa TX. He was born to Sophia Rollie and Manuel Rollie, Jr., in Austin, TX on August 31, 1955.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11 am at Greater St. John Baptist Church 212 S. Muskingum, Odessa, Texas. Visitation will be from 9-11 am before the funeral service at the church. Apostle Donnie Rollie will be officiating the service.

Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home of Odessa, Texas.

He worked at the Odessa American for about 30 plus years then retiring and for a while to live the life that many dream to get and do just what they want however that didn’t last long and he went to work for American Wholesale for 10 years. Then he fully retired and devoted his spare time to his mother to drive her to and from her volunteer job and taking her to pay her bills each month.

Alfred was a very devoted father, grandfather, husband and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memory- his mother Sophia Rollie, his loving wife Tamara Farris. He had five brothers: Garrett "Brenda"Rollie, Lowerance “Jennifer” Rollie, Archie, Johnny and Donnie "Cassandra" Rollie and three sisters: Nita "Dennis" Dechant, Esterine Stevenson and Melanie Bailey. He leaves behind five children, two daughters: Chrystal " Derrick" Black and Dominique "Joshua" Wilson three sons: Alfred Jr. "Krystal" Rollie, Ronald and Dominic. He had nine grandchildren: Adrian, Amaysea, Ryan, Janaya, Nebrasia, Aubree, Khloe, Kyrie, and Harmaniee. One great grandson Adrian Byas, III, a host of nieces and nephews. He was loved by all; he will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Rollie,Jr., Aria Montgomery, and his ex wife Kathy Rollie-Thurman and a host of other family members.
