Almeda Evon Richardson

Almeda was born in Lea, New Mexico on March 21, 1930 to the late Charles Ray Paschal and the late Laura Blanche McMackin Paschal. She graduated from Eunice High School. She married Walter Richard Richardson on March 14, 1951; they were married for 50 years.

Almeda lived for her family and Jesus. She was a strong wife and homemaker supporting Walter at home during his career with the Odessa Fire Department. Every child, however they came into her life, was a joy and each had a special relationship with her. Almeda was a long time member of Parkview Church of Christ in Odessa, Texas. After Walter entered heaven, Almeda left her beloved Odessa to be closer to her daughter in Miles, Texas.

Almeda is survived by her daughter, Karon Johnson; grandchildren, Angelia LeeAnne Everett (Reagan), Richard Jeffrey Hughes (Maria) and Robert Owen Hughes (Debra Kay); step- grandchildren, Otis J. Johnson III(Courtney); great grandchildren, Logan Russell Hughes, Megan Huddleson (Jon), Shelby Segura (Justin); step-great grandchildren, Katrina Ruiz (Miguel), Stanley Galindo Jr. (Taylor), Alex Galindo, and great great grandchildren, Logan, Max, Ivey, Isla, Christopher, Beckham, Eden, Jayden, Jakob, Jenna, and Autumn.

Almeda is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Mary Lou Chatfield and brother Charles Ray Paschal.

A visitation for Almeda will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 N Alleghaney Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E I-20 Business Loop, Odessa, Texas 79762.
