Ariel was born in Odessa on September 2, 1993, to Eugene (Bernie) and Martha Garcia. A graduate of Odessa High School, Ariel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Media and Mass Communications at Texas Tech University.
Ariel explored every avenue that allowed her the opportunity to fuel her passions while chasing her dreams in Lubbock and Austin, Texas. She worked as an Editor, Reporter, On-Air Personality, Commercial Photographer, Social Media Manager, and was a Published Freelance Country Writer. Ariel pivoted from her career path after returning to her hometown, where she worked alongside her dad at Oncor Electric Delivery and had goals of moving into Corporate Operations.
Ariel lived life on her terms. Described by those that love her: Ariel was fun, authentic, resilient, creative, a dreamer, brilliant, passionate, kind, spirited, eccentric, artistic, thoughtful, a self-proclaimed “weirdo,” a light in the path of many and always the life of the party. She had an extraordinary gift for uncovering hidden treasures in antique stores and thrift shops.
Her keen eye and boundless creativity brought home many vintage pieces she effortlessly weaved into her style and interior design. Her wardrobe: a tapestry of stories.
Fierce in her love and unstoppable in her resolve, she danced through life untamed and free. Ariel loved art, photography, concerts, singing, talking, laughing (and making people laugh), writing, painting, introducing new music to people, stargazing, the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping, road trips, traveling, two-stepping, and Aliens. She loved to support local artists and explore new cultures.
Still, she loved nothing more than her beautiful baby, Amara Jade Wright. They spent countless hours making up their own language, looking at the stars, singing, dancing, playing, reading, painting, baking, drawing, learning about the world, finding new places to explore, learning about culture and family, watching movies, and many nights dancing Michael Jackson's Thriller.
Her spirit will forever live in Amara and the memories she leaves behind.
Ariel is survived by her beautiful baby, Amara Jade Wright and her father LaRon Wright, her parents Eugene and Martha Garcia, her siblings Ariana Levine (Brandon Levine), Rocky Garcia, April Garcia, her nephew and niece Brayden and Alani Levine, her grandparents Lazaro and Manuela Galindo, and Lola Garcia, her aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Grandfather, Eugenio Balboa Garcia.
