Billie Louise McGuire Shelton

Billie Louise Shelton, 84 passed away Wednesday July 21, 2010 at Parks Skilled Nursing facility. She was born November 18, 1925 in Best, Texas to Conley E. Sr. and Annie V. Mcguire. Billie graduated from Brownfield High School in 1943. She received her Registered Nursing credential from the Lubbock Methodist Hospital Nursing program in 1948, serving in the United States Armed Forces Nursing Cadet Corp.

She married Charles William Shelton on October 8, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas. She and C.W. were married for 59 years prior his death December 18, 2007. They were both proud charter members of the Odessa Bible Church.

Loving survivors are her sons, Steve Shelton and wife Annette of Bastrop, Texas, Doug Shelton and wife Katy of Odessa, Texas, Grandsons, Chad Shelton and wife Kristi of Fair Oaks, California, Brad Shelton and wife Kendra of Orangevale, California, Granddaughters, Shelby Brown and husband Mark of Plano, Texas, Lacy Bain and husband John of Dallas, Texas, Great Grandchildren, Tyler and Jack Shelton of Fair Oaks, California, Abby Shelton of Orangevale, California , Sister in Law, Frances and husband Karl Vincent of Austin, Texas, Step Granddaughters , Krisha Scannapieco and husband Frank of Carson City, Nevada, Chelsea Burnett of Bastrop, Texas, Step Great Grandsons, Justin Gross of Walnut Creek, California, Hunter Siebert of Martinez, California, and Tristan Burnett of Bastrop Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday July 23 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am July 24 at Odessa Bible Church with Pastor Bob Thayer presiding. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas.
