Bruce Barton Lightfoot

Bruce Barton Lightfoot, 78, of Odessa passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Regency Hospital in Odessa. He was born March 5, 1933 in DeLeon, TX to John & Flora (Strube) Lightfoot. He was a retired postal clerk for the United States Post Office. He served in the U. S. Air Force. He married Margaret Faye Quinn June 5, 1954 in DeLeon, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Gladys Marie Sides, Johnnie Mae Jones, brother, Jim Ed Lightfoot, & granddaughter, Elizabeth Lightfoot

He is survived by his wife Margaret Faye Lightfoot of Odessa, sons, Buckley Duane Lightfoot & wife Pam of Lexington, SC, Bruce Michael Lightfoot & wife Mary of Richardson, TX, daughter, Mitzi Brothers & husband Billy of Odessa, sisters-in-law, Talma Lightfoot of Hondo, TX, Shirley Quinn of DeLeon, & Maxine Skaggs & husband Bruce of Midland, brother-in-law, Bill Sides of Denver City, (6) grandchildren Tiffani Rice, Billy Brothers, Jr, Ginny, Bethany, & Daniel Lightfoot & Mic Collins, (2) great-grandchildren, Bailey Rice & Austin Saint, & numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Bethany Christian Church with Rev. Keith Gibbons officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
