

Charles Edward "Ed" Brumback II, 72, of Odessa, TX, passed away on November 17, 2016. -
Ed was the son of Bettie Lou Frazier Brumback, a nurse, and Charles Edward Brumback, a World War II B-17 Navigator killed over Germany in April 1944. He was born on September 18, 1944 in El Dorado, KS and grew up on a farm near Quincy, KS. He attended Emporia State University after graduating from Hamilton High School. He moved to Odessa in 1965 and married Sharon Ann Casey in 1966. He was a life-long worker in the Permian Basin employed by Electric Service Company, Gates Rubber Company and Engine Service and Supply Company. He was beloved by coworkers and industry associates throughout West Texas and New Mexico. Ed loved aeronautics, war movies and World War II history, Permian Basin Oil Shows, Mojo and Dallas Cowboys football. He was also an avid supporter of the Confederate Air Force .Ed was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Brumback.
He is survived by his mother Bettie Kersbergen of Eureka, KS, twin sisters Linda Burris of Houston, TX and Sandra Smith of Arkansas City, KS, brother Bill Ericson of Paola, KS, children Ronnie Brumback of Edwardsville, IL and Stephanie Durbin of Greenwood, MO, five grandchildren, and nieces and nephews
The family will be receiving Ed's friends at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00pm Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Koup Family Funeral Home Chapel 121 N Oak Eureka KS. 67045 with family member Ashley Cook officiating. Burial to follow at and Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka, KS.
