Charles Ray "Chuck" Sorrell, 71, longtime resident of Odessa passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born June 30, 1945 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to William Benson & Willo B. (Norman) Sorrell. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He received the National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnam service medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/palm; Good Conduct Medal Clasp, 1 loop; Sharpshooter. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Monday, January 9, 2017 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday January 10, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, TX at 2:00 pm.
