Evangelina Chacon

Evangelina was the first-born child to Reyes Viscaino Sr. and Silvia Viscaino. She was greeted into the world on April 28th, 1976, in Crane, Texas. Five years later she became a big sister to a little brother and had loved him more than she could express, until her last days.

She was a proud mother to her two children: Luis Chacon and Karina Chacon. She doted on and loved on them at every opportunity available. She would never shy away from an opportunity to hug, kiss or say the words “I love you” to those she cared for.

Eva suffered with years of illness and fought hard to see her children into adulthood. She continued to hold on to her faith in God and was rewarded with more time with her family, friends and her beloved dogs. Eva loved to laugh and joke and could talk for hours, especially about her two nephews and niece and share the funny stories of babysitting them when they were younger.

The family treasured the moments in life with Eva but find peace in knowing that her faith, compassion and grace for others allows for her to now be at rest with God.

She is survived by her mother, Silvia Viscaino; son, Luis Chacon; daughter, Karina Chacon; brother, Reyes Viscaino Jr. and wife Crystal; nephews Isaac Viscaino, Jonathan Viscaino, Ezavien Brito and Ethen Brewer and nieces, Julissa Viscaino, Maylie Brito and Madison Brewer. Aunt Esther Gonzales; aunt Rosa Barragan; aunt, Dominga Alonzo; aunt, Julia Yharte and husband Gilberto; aunt Norma Valles and husband Antonio; aunt Elisa Viscaino; uncle Antonio Viscaino and wife Maria Elena; uncle Jose Luis Viscaino and wife Alma. Eva was also loved by numerous cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Reyes Viscaino Sr.; brother, Jonathan Viscaino; paternal grandfather, Jose Viscaino; paternal grandmother, Luisa Viscaino; maternal grandfather, Dolores Molina; maternal grandmother, Evangelina Molina; aunt, Dora Perchez; aunt, Alicia Viscaino; uncle, Dimas Viscaino and uncle Sammy Molina.

The family will be having a celebration of Eva’s life Tuesday, July 18th, 2023, from 4pm – 6pm at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Eva asked to be cremated so there will not be a burial service, but the family will be having a dinner for family to gather from 6pm – 8pm at Stomping Grounds venue.
