

Harold Loyd Glaspie Jr., 56, passed away early July 6th morning after a short battle with illness. Harold was born in Stanton, Texas on January 18, 1955. He was raised by JC and Helen Chaffin and graduated high school in Loop, Texas. Harold always had a love for music and for many years of his life he played and performed on his guitar. He also used his musical talents to play in the church worship team at Immanuel Baptist Church where he was a faithful member for more than 23 years. He worked for many years in the oil field where he labored hard in order to provide for his family. Harold was a faithful godly husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was always joyful and smiling and now confidently spends eternity with the Lord.
Harold was preceded in death by his biological father Harold “Salty” Loyd Glaspie Sr.
Survived by his wife of 31 years, Shawna Glaspie of Odessa, TX; son Harold Trey Glaspie of Bastrop, TX; daughter Sierra Greenwood of Abilene, TX; parents Helen and JC Chaffin of Loop, TX; sister Cynthia Hand of Loop, TX; three nephews and four nieces.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Loop Cemetery in Loop, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
