Ignacio Rodriguez

With heavy hearts, the family of Ignacio V. Rodriguez announces his peaceful passing on December 3, 2025, in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 84. Born on October 4, 1941, in Esmeralda, Coahuila, Mexico, Ignacio grew up surrounded by a strong family, hard work, and love—principles he carried with him throughout his life.

Ignacio married, Ana Lourdes Varela, with whom he built a proud and enduring family. Together, they raised five children: Julia, Ignacio and his wife Bertha, Pete, Fernando, Cristina and her husband John.

He leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren: Jessica and her husband Kevin, Elsa, Myra, Eduardo and his wife Tesla, Brandon and fiancé Aalyiha, Yazmín, Navah, and Leah. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Landon.

Ignacio will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his quiet strength, and the love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the generations he left behind.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Interim Hospice, especially Bianka, Elva, Daisy, and everyone who supported the family during Ignacio’s battle with cancer.

A special thank you to Dr. Bajaj, along with the nurses and staff, for their constant kindness, compassion, and care.

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
