Ima Delene Kenyon

She was born on April 13, 1927, to parents George and Edith McRae in Meridian, Oklahoma.

Ima married Alvin LeRoy Kenyon on January, 6, 1945 in Wheeler County, Texas. She received her cosmetology certification in 1959. Ms. Kenyon was a homemaker for over sixty years. She was dedicated to the Lord and had read the Bible through every year from 1992 until 2013. Ima had been a member of Westover Baptist Church for 22 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Edith McRae; husband, Alvin LeRoy Kenyon; Son, Jerry Kenyon; Grandson, Alvin Edward Kenyon; two brothers, Billy Lee Young McRae, Norman Doyle McRae and one Sister, Wanda Jean Jones.

Ima is survived by four sons, Clifford LeRoy Kenyon of Rotan, Texas; Dean Kenyon and wife Martha of Canton, Georgia; Verl Kenyon and wife Gina of Odessa, Texas; Barry Kenyon and wife Nancy of Roby, Texas; brother Lonnie McRae, Tennessee. 16 grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great-Grandchildren.

Ms. Kenyon will lie in state at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 pm. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Westover Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas with Reverend Terry Wright and Reverend Dean Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, in Odessa, Texas.
