Jana Sue Wingo

Jana Sue Wingo passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012. Jana was born on July 6, 1947 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She married her husband Ed Wingo, Jr., in 1981. Jana was a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in education. She was also a graduate of Midwestern State University, where she received her master’s degree. Jana taught elementary school for 32 years and touched many young lives. She was also a dedicated member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Winifred Gates. She is survived by her husband Ed; daughter Renay Ressel and granddaughter Ashlynn; daughter Mary ‘Maggie’ Wingo McCaffity and husband Jamieson; father James R. Gates; brother Robert Gates and wife Karyne; sister Mary Beth Frye and husband John; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, July 20th from 6 to 8pm at Frank Wilson Funeral Home and services will be held on Saturday, July 21st at 10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
