Joe W. Tucker

He was born December 28, 1938, in Sweetwater, TX, to Estelle Chapman and raised by I. J . Chapman. He married Dalah Mae Hord on August 21, 1957, in Sacramento, CA. He was owner/operator of Tucker Pipe Service Inc. In addition, he was General Manager for Automatic Pipe Rackers for twelve years; he was salesman and caser for Bob’s Casing Crews for fifteen years and was also employed for Parker Driller Co. He served in the US Air Force, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Dalah Mae Tucker of Odessa; daughter Cindy Tucker Harbour and husband, Hugh of Odessa; granddaughter Lacey Harbour Smith and husband, Bryan of Dallas; brother Bill Chapman and wife, Linda of Sadler, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, at the Wilmeth Cemetery in Runnels County, TX.

Pallbearers will be C.D. Talley, Ron Ferrin, James Lee Truelock, Mike Nordman, Norris Wallin, Hugh Harbour, Gary Long and David Leggett.
