Katherine Elaine Walls

Katherine Elaine “Kathy” Walls was born in Odessa, Texas, on March 10, 1954, the oldest of six little Partridges Rex and Elsie Partridge would be blessed with. Kathy went home to be with Jesus on May 21, 2026.

Kathy graduated from Odessa High School in 1972 and continued her education at Odessa Junior College and later at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where she met the love of her life, Roy Walls, in 1975. Kathy and Roy were married the following year and shared 50 wonderful years of marriage together.

Kathy furthered her education through South Plains College, where she earned her LVN degree in nursing. For more than 30 years, Kathy blessed others with her kindness and compassion while working in nursing home facilities until retiring from Seabury Nursing Home in 2017.

Kathy was a devoted Christian and faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church. She placed God and family above all else and was always there whenever a loved one was in need.

Kathy enjoyed traveling, hiking, and visiting lighthouses. She had a smile that could light up any room and a kindness that warmed every heart she encountered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Elsie Partridge; and her brothers, John Partridge, Rex Partridge Jr., and Steve Partridge.

She is survived by her loving husband, William “Roy” Walls of Odessa, TX; her son, David Walls and wife Dawn of The Highlands, TX; her daughter, Connie Hunt and husband Troy Daniel of Malakoff, TX; her sisters, Mary Shahan and Karen Ervin; her four grandchildren, Andrew Walls, Brook Walls, Caitlyn Walls, and Troy Alexander Hunt; and her great-grandchildren, David William Walls, Joann Walls, and Ryan Walls.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 27th at 1:00 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church followed by a graveside committal at American Heritage Cemetery.
