Lawrence Edmund Thibeault

He was a military veteran who served four years in the U.S. Navy. A long-time Odessa resident, Lawrence and his family moved to Odessa in 1975, where he was co-owner of Simpson’s Photo Service with his brother-in-law, Hans-Jurgen Greiner. Simpson’s Photo was a very popular film developing service in West Texas until 1992.

He was a very loving, family man, affectionately known by his grandchildren as Papa Frog. Those left to treasure his memory are five siblings, his son, Lawrence Thibeault and wife, Karen, of Big Spring, TX; daughter, Sheila Heffernan of Odessa, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Last, but certainly not least, are his grandchildren whom he loved so much and spoiled terribly, Ryan Heffernan of Odessa, and Kenra and Luke Thibeault of Big Spring, TX.

His hobbies included fishing, enjoying family get-togethers, casinos, and attending Odessa Jack-a-lopes hockey games with the family. He will never be forgotten by his family and friends, too numerous to list.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel .
