

She was born February 13, 1927, to Thomas and Minnie Carnes Tims in Wetumka, Oklahoma.
She served as the Ector County Tax-Assessor Collector for 21 years from 1983 to 2004. During her terms in office, she was awarded various accolades including the Marillyn Albert Award by the Texas Association of Assessing Officers for continued performance of excellence. Previous to her elected terms, she held the positions of Director of Continuing Education at Odessa College and Staff Assistant in charge of the Odessa District Office of U.S. Congressman Richard White.
She was preceded in death by husband Bill Taylor, and son John Taylor.
She is survived by her brother Tommy Tims and wife, Pat of Midland, TX; daughter-in-law Scott Taylor; granddaughter Blaise Myers and husband, Charles; grandson Canyon Taylor and wife, Lexie; and three great-grandchildren, all of Odessa, TX.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
