

Leila Mae (Henderson) McIntyre (1913-2011)
ODESSA Leila Mae (Henderson) McIntyre, 98, of Odessa died Monday, March 21, 2011, at Buena Vida Nursing Home in Odessa.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, Rev. Curtis Brewer will be officiating.
Mrs. McIntyre was born February 26, 1913 in Ector County to Julius Drew Henderson and Montye Mae Bateman Henderson, and grew up in Odessa, on the ranch in summer and in town in the winter. She married George Marshall McIntyre April 15, 1934 in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1957.
Mrs. McIntyre was a homemaker, a working single mom and companion to Hugh and Ophelia Ratliff of Odessa in later years. Mrs. McIntyre was a member of First Baptist Church, Odessa , and a founder of The Old Timers Club in Odessa, of which she always looked forward to the meetings.
Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her son, Jack McIntyre and wife, Kathy of Odessa; grandsons, Robert Chance McIntyre of Lubbock, and Scott McIntyre of Austin; sister, Mary Dell Shampanore of Lone Oak, TX; and nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces.
