Lidia Santos

Lidia was born in San Antonio, TX on Aug 21, 1943 to the late Alberto Hernandez and Isabel Vasquez.She moved to Odessa where she graduated from Ector High School and met the love of her life Luis Eleazar Santos and married on Sept 26, 1969. In the 53 years they were married, they raised 3 daughters.

She loved making a variety of crafts with her daughters such as scrapbooking, making jewelry, crocheting, cross-stitching and sewing clothes and blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved keeping a flower garden and watching telenovelas with her husband Luis. She often took family group trips with her daughters and their families. Lidia had a special place in her heart for her fur babies (too many to list here).

She was an active member at Asbury United Methodist Church, formerly a member of Resurrection United Methodist Church and El Divino Salvador United Methodist Church.

Lidia is survived by her husband Luis, 3 daughters Dominga and her husband Juan Castro, Rachel and her husband Elizardo Lujan and Rebecca and her husband Jason Briles. 9 grandchildren Isabella Fowler, Hezakiah and Azariyah Rios; Gershom, Arizal and Mikael McJimson; Aaron, Rebecca Elena and Josiah Briles. 7 great grandchildren Noah Fowler, Leilea, Zieporah, Zahara, Kalani, Ramona and Jermiah McJimson. Further survived by other family and friends.

Lidia is preceded in death by her parents Alberto and isabel Hernandez.

A visitation for Lidia will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A visitation will occur Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 4001 E University Blvd, Odessa, Texas 79762. A burial will occur Monday, June 12, 2023 at Ector County Cemetery, 300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, Texas 79761.
