Margaret Elena Rumbaugh Holley

Margaret Elena Holley, 90, of Odessa passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at Buena Vida Nursing Home. She was born January 3, 1922 in Shreveport, LA. She married Cecil L. Holley SR July 28, 1940 in Longview, TX. She was a retired office manager & secretary for (IFA) Industrial Foundation of America.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Addison Craig & Maggie Rumbaugh, & her husband of 63 years, Cecil Holley, brothers, Craig & Charles Rumbaugh, & sister, Melanie Walker.

She is survived by her sons, Cecil L. Holley JR & wife Bette of Canyon Lake, TX, William C. Holley & wife Jackie of Richmond, TX, daughter, Kathy Thorpe & husband Bill of Odessa; sister, Betty Rumbaugh of Arizona, (7) grandchildren, Leslie Fischels & husband Bryan of Sugarland, TX, Jill Holley of Houston, Chris Holley & wife Suzanne of Richmond, TX, Craig Holley of Katy, TX, Amanda Holley of Richmond, TX, Holly Hoggatt & husband Jason of Midland, David Thorpe of Odessa, and (5) great-grandchildren.

Margaret and Cecil moved to Odessa in 1947 and were very involved in the family business, R.C. Rumbaugh and Sons. She was active in the Permian Study Club, American Business Women’s Association, Women’s Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary and Altrusa Int’l. She was dedicated to her husband, family and friends. Her love will always be in our hearts and her spirit ever present in our words and actions.

There will be a visitation 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Mark Wilson officiating.
