Maria Aurora Ramirez

Maria Aurora Ramirez was a woman for whom there seemed to be no strangers, just those she hadn’t made friends with yet. She was a daily walker, social, energetic, strong, and a loving woman. She battled cancer for nine years, during which she lived life seemingly unfazed with the spirit and energy she was loved for. Her faith in God and loving spirit were resolute until the end. She passed away with grace and peace surrounded by her family January 19, 2018. Aurora was born in Ojinaga, Mexico in 1953 to a loving family. She was the youngest of 10. She later met and married Saul Ramirez February 26, 1977 and together they had three children here in Odessa, TX.

Aurora Ramirez will be lovingly remembered by her husband Saul Ramirez, along with their 3 children, Christina (Jack), Saul (Magen) and Neri (Corima). She will also be fondly remembered by her 3 granddaughters Haylee, Emily, Eliana and by her remaining sisters Modesta (Jose), Gregoria, Delfina and one brother Ruben. Aurora will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Tomas, Aurora and siblings David, Lydia, Samuel, Reynaldo and Gloria.

Rosary will be held Monday at 7 pm at Hubbard Kelly Chapel. Mass will be Tuesday January 23, 2018 at 10 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of Aurora.
