

Mary Ann Margaret Rowe, 77, of Monahans, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013, at a hospital after suffering a severe heart attack.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12, 3 pm at Christ Anglican Church in Odessa, http://christchurchodessa.org.
Mary Ann was born March 7, 1935, in Denver, Colorado to William C. and Estella Mitchell Anderson and graduated from Billings High School in Billings, Montana, in 1952. She worked as a telephone operator in Montana, Colorado, and Texas and was active in the Communications Workers of America. She was the accountant for Rowe Welding and Machine Shop from 1977 until 2000.
Mary Ann was the Treasurer of St. James Episcopal Church in Monahans until its closing and afterward attended Christ Anglican Church in Odessa. She also delivered for Meals on Wheels of Ward County. She was also a member of the Sierra Club and the National Wildlife Federation. She enjoyed needlework, crossword puzzles, mystery novels, Jeopardy, and the Antiques Road Show.
Survivors include husband Vernon Rowe and daughter Pam of Monahans, sons Philip Rowe of Houston and Douglas Rowe of Washington, D.C., sister Harriet Drake of Billings, Montana, and brother Bruce Anderson of Orofino, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest brother, Douglas Anderson, and her oldest sister, Esther Laux.
