Mona Ruth Bearden Hudson

Mona Ruth Bearden Hudson, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013. She was born in Pyote, TX to Alma and Bill

Bearden on April 4th 1931. She graduated from Pyote High School in 1948 and went on to Texas Western College (a.k.a. U.T. El

Paso) where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1951.

During her lifetime Mona traveled around the world and called each of these places her home at one time or another: Pyote TX,

Monahans TX, Hobbs NM, Benghazi Libya, Tripoli Libya, Marsa al-Brega Libya, Mt. Eliza Australia, Jakarta Indonesia, El Paso TX,

and Bedford TX. Following her retirement she lived in Ruidoso NM, Odessa TX, Midland TX, Austin TX, and finally Carrollton TX to

be near her son Jon and son-in-law Mike.

Mona was an avid card player all her life and also enjoyed golf and bowling in her younger years. She also enjoyed collecting and

sharing treasures from her world travels. She was a known as a sweet little lady and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Mona was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and best friend. She is survived by her

children: Roy Hudson & Chris Martin, Dan & Anabelle Hudson, Jon Hudson & Mike Henley; her grandchildren: Daniel Hudson, J

Jonathan Hudson, Sam Hudson, Ashley Hudson; her siblings: JoAnn Minnix, Kenneth & Lillian Bearden, Billy Wayne Bearden;

several nieces and nephews; her extended family: Nita Rice and family. Mona was preceded in death by her parents Alma & Bill

Bearden, and brother Maurice Bearden.

Services for Mona will be held at Odessa Funeral Home located at 1700 N. Jackson Odessa, TX 79761 on Saturday November 9th,

2013. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. and Service at 11:00 a.m. with interment following at the Pyote Cemetery.
