

Robert Alfred Morrison, 91, of Odessa went to be with our Lord and his loved ones on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Deerings Nursing Home. He was born February 3, 1920 in Williamson County, TX to James Fred & Tommie Lea Morrison. He was production foreman for Texaco Oil Co. from 1952 until his retirement in 1986. He married Mary Jo McAlpine December 7, 1945 in Breckenridge. He was a member of the Odessa Shiners, Scottish Rites, 32 degree Mason & Masonic Lodge in Albany, & the local Lady Shriners, the V.F.W. & Eastern Star. He was also a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jo Morrison, daughter, Terry Perkins & grandson, Dewayne Barbee, sisters, Ruth & her husband Ray, Kathryn, brothers, Gene & his wife Jewel, Sonny & wife Earlene & Bill & wife Pat.
His memory & legacy is carried on by his daughter, Donna Barbee, son-in-law, Terry Barbee of Odessa, son-in-law, Terry Perkins Sr, of Odessa, brothers, Fred Morrison & wife Ruby of Christoval, TX, Joe Morrison & wife Shirley of Crane, sisters, Myrtle Cogburn of Burleson, TX, Sybil Reynolds & husband Paul of Snyder, Mary Lou Hearn & husband Durwood of Lubbock, (3) grandchildren: Renee Barbee of Odessa, Terry Perkins Jr. & wife Tara of Hawkins, TX, Robert Perkins & wife Shannon of Odessa, (6) great-grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews.
A visitation will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Box officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
