December 26, 1940 ~ May 8, 2011 Pastor Rosario F. Hill, a son given by the Lord to Rumaldo and Elena Hill, was born at Odessa, Texas on December 26, 1940 Today we rejoice in the knowledge that he has passed the barrier of time as we know it and is forever at home with the Savior he faithfully served for over 29 years. On the January 30, 1959 he was married to Bette Aguirre who survives. Together, for more than 52 years, they experienced the changing scenes of life in the joyous and fruitful companionship, which the Lord had entrusted to them. Rosario started working at a very young age helping with his father’s grocery store to help his family. After he married he worked for Jack Jordan’s until he found a new line of work working for Tex Creek and onto Industrial Insulation where he retired to dedicate his life as Pastor. Surviving along with his wife Bette are his daughters Deanna Castillo and husband Juan, Wanda Hill, sons Rosario Hill Jr. and Richard Hill,
16 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson., brothers Rey Hill, G. F. “Willie” Hill (Gloria), Rumaldo Hill Jr. (Velma); sisters MaryAnn Ortega (Jesse), and Lidia Cruz, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, Church Family and many friends. At the age of 41, Rosario made the decision upon which all other of his decisions came to hinge. He acknowledged his need for Jesus Christ and confessed the Lord as his Savior. The Church was the focus of his life and in the bosom of the Church he served faithfully and displayed the Christian graces, which today our memories are so richly blessed. His family takes this occasion to thank their many friends and church family for the kindness in which have been given during the course of the years and especially during this time of sorrow. Christian friends, brothers and sisters, are indeed the most meaningful gifts of life. A special thanks to Dr. Life Barnard who went beyond his duties as a physician, our dear friends Dr. Timothy Collins of Arlington, Texas, for all the medical care and hope, and Pablo Escamilla of Houston, Texas for his support. Also a special thanks to our relatives Vico Aguirre & Gloria Cisneros for their special comfort during the last days. And to Joel, Maria and all of the staff at Odessa Funeral Home. Pastor Hill will lay in state at the church; Templo Buenas Nuevas until Service time Thursday ( located) at 505 Vine St. Odessa, Texas.
