My deepest sympathy in your family's loss of such a nice friendly man. He was a long time customer and such a good ol' boy. Tommy Pittman will be missed by all that knew him.

Tommy was one of the few people whom I can say was my true friend. No matter how much time would pass between our visits, our friendship never wavered. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, Ronnie, especially. I am blessed by having the opportunity to be friends with them both. What a couple of great Christian men!

 I did not know Tommy for a long time (In the scheme of things), but I remember Tommy from my short lived time in Odessa and Midland...  I remember his smile and wit...  I am so sorry and shocked to hear of his passing...  May God comfort his family and loved ones...

"Hello, Uncle Ronnie. How in the world are you?"

As most of you know, I was just in the hospital for a few days, and while I was there, the guys that I have breakfast with on Saturday mornings called and came by to visit...Roy, Lynn, Teddy, Ronny & Tommy. We always have a great time making each other laugh so hard that we sometimes cry. That was the last time that I saw Tommy, and again, we had one of those great times together filled with laughter. I've always been fascinated how with some of my friends, we can go for years without connecting, yet when we do come back together, it feels like no time has passed. This is the way it was with Tommy. We both understood that there were no requirements. It was a non-issue of what needed to take place or what doesn't need to take place. We both mutually appreciated the chance to enjoy our friendship, when the time was right. Our friendship had a natural ebb and flow. I've had other friendships that had to be spelled out mostly because there was no congruent inner "sensing" of the friendship....But not with Tommy. Ronny, Tommy's brother, gave Tommy and I an inner laugh, because he said that Tommy and I had some kind of telepathic thing going on, but Tommy and I just had a great understanding of each other. Some friendships are set to last a short season, and others for a lifetime. Our friendship was effortless. It was a natural joy of "getting and understanding" Tommy and being "gotten" by him. Ours is a friendship that didn't have to be manufactured or orchestrated in any way, because the friends were born from the same cloth, and they are standing on the same foundation. In viewing each of my treasured friendships from my perspective, Tommy's friendship has made it easier to flow with many other types of connections in my life. Some of those connections are set to last for the balance of my life, and others come into and out of my life more quickly, and others appear for a fleeting moment. I love you as a friend and a brother. You have made my life so much richer by having known you.

Good-bye, Uncle Tommy. I'm going to miss you.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Pittman's family, he will definitely be missed, he was a great neighbor, always happy, cheerful and always friendly we will miss him waving good morning to us.....may you rest in peace Mr. Pittman!!!

Tommy was always such a kind and fun-loving guy to be around. I had many good laughs with him back when I lived in Odessa and will never forget that laugh of his. I too remember his pet names for folks. I will miss him.

So sorry to hear of my cousin, Tommy.  It just seems like we all have reconnected. I know he is in Heaven and is well again.  Uncle Ted and Aunt Jean are rejoicing in him. Oh the stories I could tell. You too. He was a character deluxe. I haven't really been around Tommy for the last 20+ years, but I don't think he has changed much in his wit and pranks and joking manner. He will be missed by many.

Keeping all who knew and loved Tommy in my thoughts and prayers...  At this time of sorrow, may these truths sustain you... Your loved one will always be as close as a memory, and the God of all comfort will always be as close as a prayer.

I worked with Tommy building the Telephone Building in Midland in 1974.There was a group of us who car pooled from Odessa to Midland every day. He was a laugh a minute,a lot of fun,and a good carpenter. Called everybody "Oscar". I still interface with the other guys, and sometimes we tell "Tommy Pittman stories". Also, we knew Tommie was a believer. Condolences to the family, I know he will be missed.

"Tommy was laughter, joy and sunshine.    He is rejoicing in heaven with family members that where waiting to greet him as he walked through the gates of heaven. What a awesome celebration they are having.  RIP cousin.

Tommy was a good friend to me, and we spent a lot of time talking religion and politics.  He had a great sense of humor, and called me Dr. Laura,  for whatever reason.  He loved to laugh and was quite the prankster.  Will miss you, my friend, but am glad there is no more suffering for you.

Tommy was one of my dearest friends.  I will truly miss him very much.
I will keep the Pittman family in my prayers.

Tommy was a great cousin always making us laugh. He will be truly missed but, I know he's in a better place . No more pain and suffering . Praying for peace, comfort, and strength for all of the family . Rest in Peace

What can I say but that he was a truly "nice guy!" and never met a stranger!  Most know about his names he used for different ones.  I am also a twin and we both related to that.  We always exchanged names for each other.  I told him just a few weeks ago that I had him and Ronny a new name - Pete for the oldest which was Tommy and Repeat for Ronny!  He will be missed by many.  May the God of creation give Ronny, Meranda, Marshall and the rest of the family peace that only He can give!   Will be praying for his family!

My heart goes out for the family . Diann,Teddy,Erlean,Dewayn and Ronnie I will never forget when your family first came to Odessa and lived next door to us . Tommy and Ronnie were not much over toddlers . And so cute !!! And I got a best friend Diann and y'all's parents were the best we loved y'all like family and all tho we have lost touch for a long time I was so happy to have reunited with Diann on FB just know I am so sorry for the pain and sorrow that each one of y'all are going thro right now my prays are to help comfort y'all in this very dark time God bless you                              Linda Crabb Crockett

My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Pittman family. Tommy was such a sweet man and was loved by everyone he met. He will be missed by many and just know he now is an angel that will watch over so many people.
