Tina Lummus

Tina Lummus, 56 was sent to heaven on Saturday June 9th. Tina was born in Madisonville, TX on August 5th, 1955. Tina was always a hard working, dedicated, and wonderful mother to her two children David Blake Garrett and Lindsay Kay New. Besides her 2 children, Tina had 2 granddaughters that she admired and loved truly and deeply.

Survivors include her Great Aunt Margie Dewitt, Sister Teresa Konigsburg, and her Cousin Dewitt Corley. Tina spent her spare time working in her garden, cooking for others, and being an important part of her family’s lives. Tina worked as a Nurse her whole life and like work and home, she always put the needs or others before herself. Tina lived very simple and humble and didn’t care about having the nicest or most expensive things. Her main priorities were keeping her family happy and have food provided on the table. She would lend you the shirt off her back in a heartbeat.

Tina’s viewing, open to friends and family will be held Tuesday, June 12th from 6-8p.m. at Frank Wilson Funeral Home in Odessa, TX. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, June 13th at 3p.m at Frank Wilson Funeral Home as well.

She would love to see all her friends and anyone who knew her heart to come by and say their goodbyes.Tina will then be transported from Odessa on Thursday, June 14th to North Zulch, TX to be laid to rest at Willow Hole Cemetery next to her mother, Oteka Byrd. Graveside will be at 3p.m on Friday, June 15th.
