Tomasa was born in Coleman, Texas on October 11, 1941 to the late Emelio and Tomasa Perez. Later, she met and married the love of her life, Cruz Alvarado. Within their union, they had six children.
Tomasa was a homemaker and a caregiver. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and spending time with her family.
Tomasa, is survived by her three sons, Cruz Alvarado and his wife, Anita Alvarado of Odessa, Texas. Jerry Alvarado and his wife, Rose Alvarado of Odessa, Texas. Joaquin Alvarado and his wife, Stephanie Alvarado of Wichita, Kansas. In addition, her two daughters, Delia Rubalcado and her husband, Abram Rubalcado of Odessa, Texas and Adelina Acosta and her husband, Ruben Acosta of Odessa Texas. Her Brother, Joe Perez of Vernon, Texas. 19 Grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.
Her husband, Cruz Alvarado, precedes Tomasa in death. Also, her parents, Emelio and Tomasa Perez. Her daughter, Isabel Nunez. Her brothers, Fermin Perez, Antonio Perez, Emelio Perez, and Enrique Perez. Her sisters, Cipriana Garza, Maria Garza, Lala Lozano, Connie Galindo and Chavela Najera.
Visitation will be held for the public at Odessa Funeral home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5-9pm. Rosary will start at 7pm. Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10am. Burial will follow at Ector County.
Michael Alvarado, Aaron Alvarado, Andy Leal, Cipriano Leal, Ruben Acosta Jr, and Joaquin Alvarado Jr will served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are P.J Salinas, Jacob Carrasco, Averey Alvarado, Antonio Alvarado and Austin Q. Alvarado
