WILLIAM HAROLD (BILL) SPEARS

January 12, 1932 – December 12, 2015

William Harold (Bill) Spears, age 83 of Odessa passed away Saturday December 12, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born to his parents, William Hiram & Lydia Leona Stokes Spears, on January 12, 1932 in Sugarland, Texas. He married Audrey Jean Thielen on January 12, 1952.

William was retired from the Odessa American Newspaper as a Foreman at the newspaper. He was also self-employed for Spears Rubber Stamps. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. He was in the Navy on the USS Union during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Audrey Jean on October 20, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his son, Frederick Spears, his grandson, Adam Spears and his granddaughter, Amy Jamison Wood-Fishbein. He will be missed by all of us. We love you Dad. Give Mom a kiss in Heaven from all of us.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Ronald W. Spears of Odessa, Robert Lynn Spears and wife, Kathy of Krugerville, and Kendall Rae Spears of Longview and a daughter Dorothy Leona Spears Jamison and Husband, Rickey of Odessa, and previous son-in-law, Dickie Ray Crawford from Odessa, 2 brothers, Ottis Qualls of N. Carolina, and Sydney Spears of Florida, a sister, Vivian Bracken of Florida and numerous Grandchildren

Family visitation will be Tuesday December 15, 2015 from 6-9pm at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Sherwood Baptist Church with Pastor Ivy Shelton officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Rickey D Jamison, Justin W Crawford, Ronald W Spears, Kendall Rae Spears, Robert L Spears, and David J Spears.
