She was born October 26, 1924 in Fitzhugh Oklahoma.
She married her high school sweetheart Luther. Traveling with Luther for his job they moved to Odessa, Texas in 1970.
She loved gardening, poodle dogs, and enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Luther Eugene, parents Thomas and Nora Childress and brother Norman Childress.
She is survived by daughter Sharon Royall & husband David, of Odessa, Son Larry Stewart and wife Denise of Gardendale,
Sister Pauline Smith, of Elk City Oklahoma. 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 14, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Stephen Royall officiating.
