Jane Kanataha:we Etienne Wegrzynowski

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jane Kanataha :we Etienne Wegrzynowski, on Sunday October 16th 2022 at the Saint-Eustache hospital, age of 82.

She was born July 10th 1940 in Kanesatake to Henry and Margaret (Jacobs) Etienne.

Beloved longtime partner of Edouard Sr. Wegrzynowski, caring mother of Eddy Jr. (Christiane), Lisa (Roger) and Carlos. Proud grandmother of Angele (Joe), Roxanne (Ben), Michael (Piita), Matthew and proud great grandmother of Lilli Ann, Mia, Jack and Milia.

Predeceased by her brothers: Peter, Elijah, Matthew, James, Thomas, Wilkinson and her sisters: Mary, Grace, Nancy, Coleen and Doris. Kanataha :we leaves to mourn her sisters, Rose and Yvi (Bobby), her sisters-in-law as well many nephews, nieces and friends.

Visitation will be held at Salon Funeraire Guay, 156 Notre-Dame Street, Oka, on: sturday the 29th of October 2022 from: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 13:00 pm to 13h30 pm.

A funeral service will be at the Kanesatake Pentacostal Church, on Saturday, the 29th October 2022 at 2:00 pm and will be followed by the burial in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Saint-Eustache hospital for their wonderful care of our mother. Your kindness and compassion in her final days was greatly appreciated.

À l’Hôpital Saint-Eustache, le 16 octobre 2022, à l'âge de 82 ans, est décédée madame Jane Kanataha:we Etienne Wegrzynowski. Elle est la fille de feu monsieur Henry Etienne et de feu madame Margaret Etienne née Jacobs. Elle est native de Kanesatake.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux : Edouard Lucien Wegrzynowski; ses enfants : Edouard Jr (feu Christiane), Lisa (Roger) et Carlos ; ses petits-enfants : Angèle (Joe), Roxanne (Ben). Michael (Piita) et Matthew; ses arrière-petits-enfants : Lilli Ann, Mia, Jack et Mialia; ses sœurs Rose and Yvi (Bobby); ses beaux-frères et ses belles-sœurs ainsi que plusieurs autres parents et amis. Elle rejoint ses frères Peter, Elijah, Matthew, James, Thomas, Wilkinson et ses soeurs Mary, Grace, Nancy, Coleen and Doris.

Le samedi 29 octobre de 9h00 à 12h00 et de 13h00 à 13h30. Une cérémonie suivra dès 14h00 en Kanesatake Pentacostal Church. L'inhumation suivra au Pine Hill Cemetery.
