

Abdulah Avdo Subasic “Do”
Abdulah Avdo Subasic “Do”, 75, of Oklahoma City, passed away, January 14, 2016 at his home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home, 6600 Broadway Ext. Oklahoma City, OK 73116, Pastor Dan A. Thomas, Jr. will be officiating. Public viewing is on Thursday, January 21. 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, 1300 N. Lottie, Oklahoma City, OK 73117, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. A private family funeral will take place of Friday, January 22, 2016.
Abdulah was born on Thursday, August 8, 1940 in Breznik, Bosnia to Muharem and Begajeta Subasic. He graduated from the University of Sarajevo. Abdulah was a member of the Yugoslavian National Army Reserves and achieved the rank of Captain 1st class. On March 16, 1968 he married the former Munevera Mutapcic in Tuzla, Bosnia. Abdulah was employed as a construction engineer in Bosnia and as a maintenance technician while in the States.
Abdulah was an experienced “handyman” and loved working on cars. He enjoyed taking his grandson Gianni to the airport to watch airplanes. He also played the trumpet and enjoyed watching and playing soccer and was a dedicated fan of American football, particularly the New England Patriots.
Abudlah is survived by his wife Munevera Subasic of Oklahoma City, OK, his two children, Enver Thurow and his wife Sabine of Germany and Senka Stevenson and her husband Iven of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, Gianni, Tyse, and Cross Stevenson, all of Edmond, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in the United States, Bosnia, and Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents, Muharem and Begajeta, and his two sisters Basa and Biba.
