Alton Leroy Englebretson

Alton was a loving husband of 47 years and 3 months. He graduated Tuttle High School in 1963. He met Mary Jane in May of 1964 and they were married January 28, 1966. He graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science Degree May of 1972 and earned his Master’s in 1985 and much more. Bud retired from the Army National Guard as LT. Col. where he spent time at the Pentagon and he then went to work for the State of Oklahoma Military Department. Bud was passionate about helping those in need through the Elks in Midwest City. He held the title of Past District Deputy Grand, Exalted Ruler and Vice President for the Southwest Region. He spent his mornings at Daylight Donuts with close friends to make important decisions. Always quick to make a joke, he always smiled.

Bud is survived by Mary Jane of the home, three daughters, four grandsons, one granddaughter. A special nephew Joe, who shared their home, a daughter by choice Christy, 2 step-grandsons they had for a while, brothers Delbert and wife Pat, and Eldon Englebretson and wife Effie, Cousins in Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. There are far too many to mention by name, but know this, he loved you all. Preceded in death by parents Oliver and Alice Englebretson, brother George Englebretson, and sister Maxine Utt.
