Andrew John Swanson

Andrew John Swanson, 90, was called to his Heavenly home on April 28, 2011. Andrew was born August 6, 1920 in Elwood, Nebraska to Francis Emil and Emma Mathilda (Broman) Swanson. He enjoyed hunting and restoring classic Model A cars. Andrew could fix absolutely anything and his children feel that he was most certainly a jack of all trades.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Viola; second wife, Joyce; siblings, Bror Swanson, Christina Peterson and Clara Cooper. Survivors include his children, Ted A. Swanson and wife Helen, Gordon Swanson and wife Cathie, LaVera Easley and husband Allen, Michael A. Swanson, Terry L. Swanson, Brian E. Swanson; sisters, Annette Burgess, Edith Hetche; sister-in-law, Fern Swanson; grandchildren, Mark, Michele, Erin, Megan, Russell, Leisa, Gina, Michael, Brandy, Melinda and Joe; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

The family will be receiving guests at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Nicoma Park United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
