It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ann Carol "Cookie" Hyde, who left us on March 12, 2025 at the age of 88. She was a pillar of strength, kindness, and unwavering love, touching the lives of everyone who knew her.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Cookie lived a life defined by generosity and devotion. She was a loving mother, a devoted wife and a cherished friend, also guiding light to those fortunate enough to know her. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting others before herself. Cookie owned a bar named "Cookies" that she owned for 25 years, retiring in 2019.
Her greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her two sons Patrick and Michael, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert K. Hyde Jr., her father, Joseph Traversy, her mother Annie Lovell traversy, brothers, Raymond, Andrew and Joseph, along with two sisters, Eileen Marks and Janice Wade.
Cookie's legacy of kindness, wisdom, and resilience will live on in the lives she touched. We will miss her every day but take comfort in knowing her love and spirit will always be with us.
A memorial service will be held on March 25, 2025, 6 p.m., at Hahn-Cook Funeral Home to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sisters of the Poor in her honor.
She was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
