* She found me when I wandered out of the apartment, running naked through the snow, when I was just over a year old, on her way home from school.
*In the 60's, most girls were taught to be ladies, but she played "stick ball" on North Bergen Streets and got into fights at school.
*She loved to laugh and have fun. I always knew when I heard her Silly-Little, High-Pitched, Giggle, which was a cross between the "Philsbury Doughboy" and the "Chipmunks".
*She always let you appreciate the finer things in life, like "Tomato Sandwiches".
*She would also allow you to learn valuable lessons, like when you got into a Vaseline Fight, your hair got washed with Comet.
*She was wildly independent, but had a ton of friends she lovingly kept at arms length by humble pride.
*Her 1st job was a switchboard operator for Southern Bell she eventually lost to technology. She took it better than most.
*She always had all the answers and tried to start a Caterer's Service. Accutely organized, if you gave her chaos, she could make you understand it.
*She was the office whiz. There was not an office appliance made or a keyboard she couldn't master.
*Her proudest accomplishment was becoming a nurse. She worked for the VA because she loved the Vets. Especially, the Marines of which she married two. The first one gave her an only child, a daughter, her true love. Her second, she loved so bad, when he passed, ruined her for all other men.
  Although we were miles apart, our love was always there. Big Sis, I'll always Love You.
