Aubrey Dawn Shipman aka "Aubrey Dawn" was born on December 14th, 2001 at OU in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She left this earth on October 21st, 2020 at the young age of 18. Aubrey lived in Choctaw, Oklahoma. She attended Carl Albert High School and had graduated early due to hard work and doubling up on credits. She attended Mid-Del Vo-Tech and loved her welding program. She attended 3 years of ROTC and had planned on enlisting in the Marines. She was so proud of being in ROTC. Aubrey worked for an animal shelter in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She loved animals and would have adopted them all if one could have. She was most certainly an animal whisperer. Aubrey's favorite things in the world were her family, her country, the military, and her truck that she named, "Redneck." Aubrey was always making people smile and laugh. She wanted a bright world for everyone she loved. She'd do the most random things to see you smiles. She was all the good and happy moments. Aubrey is survived by her mom and dad, Tiffiny and Felix; her sisters, Shanalee and Harlee; her brother, Memphis; her grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her paternal grandma, Barbara ; father and stepmother, Chris and Andrea ; step-brothers, Cam'Ron Shipman and Jakob ; step-sister Paisley; Aubrey was preceded in death by her uncle Chris; her cousin Braxton; her aunt Sheri; her grandfather Marion; her great-grandma Sharon; her great-grandpa Rollie and her grandpa Felix, Sr.

I had the pleasure of teaching Aubrey in Welding. This breaks my heart. We hit it off after a bit and then as I really got to know her she became one of my favorites. Im not much on writing but I know after losing Aubrey heaven is now a little better place and we all lost so much. God bless you Aubrey and may God bless you family.

Aubrey was able to spend the night at our house numerous times and we loved having her! There was one visit in particular, it was snowing outside, just a light dusting really, and the girls went out to build "snowmen." They built a tiny snowman family, the largest one no more than a foot high. After they were finished freezing, they came inside and lay on the floor in front of the fireplace with their feet up on the bricks to thaw them out. Beth says they enjoyed crushing the snowmen when they were finished!

The first time I met Aubrey was when she was in middle school. CAMS encouraged parents to come up and eat with their kids and Bethany finally had a lunch period that aligned with mine. So I picked up sushi to bring to her. She asked if her new friend Aubrey could join us. I remember when Aubrey sat down, she had a chocolate chip cookie in hand and I asked her if that was all she was going to eat. Like many kids, she said yes! We invited her to share the sushi and every time after that, I would always make sure that I brought extra so she could join us.

Aubrey and I worked together at Sonic. She really did have one of the sweetest souls and one of the biggest hearts. She made me smile bigger than i could ever imagine. Her laugh was so contagious. She never failed to make anyone around her smile. I remember looking forward to seeing her each and every shift we had together. Being able to see her was the highlight of my week. When she left sonic I was devastated. But even after she left she still took to the time every week to come by and see me. She knew that i loved cream slushes and she specially ask for me to carhop to her. She would buy me a cream slush while i was working and would tip me every time. And every time we saw each other we would run into each other's arms and I swear nobody could give a hug like she could. She was one of the most outgoing, loving and caring people i've ever met. She was so strong and i wish she knew that. And i wish i could've told her one last time just how much she meant to me and how much i loved her.
