

Barbara passed away Monday, July 17th, 2023.
Barbara was a graduate of the Bethany High School class of 1956.
Her husband, Jerry had a girlfriend when Barbara moved to Bethany. When he saw her the first time, Jerry told his friend Tom, she’s going to be my girlfriend. The rest is history.
Barbara and Jerry married December 21st, 1956.
Barbara served the Oklahoma City Clinic as manager of medical secretaries, before she retired.
We all know Jerry was quite an athlete in high school. Barbara had some athletic skills as well. She loved bowling competitively, and her team travelled to bowling championships each year to compete.
Barbara was also an avid golfer. She loved playing golf weekly in the women’s group at Westbury Country Club. The highlight of her golfing career was making a Hole in One on Westbury’s Par 3, Sixth Hole, on July 17th, 1991. Barbara’s Hole in One came 15 years before Jerry made his Hole in One. Barbara enjoyed reminding Jerry, her’s came first.
Barbara loved Oklahoma Sooner Sports. Football as her favorite. She and Jerry loved going to home games, Oklahoma / Texas, and traveling to bowl games.
Barbara loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them play sports. She enjoyed watching her granddaughter Tiffany and her horse Mieko run barrels, her grandson Cody rope and her granddaughter Tyler singing and performing in plays.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, brother James R. McGill, Sr., and grandson Christopher Alan Legg.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jerry. Son Jerry and his wife Shannon; son John and his wife Rolanda “Ralph”, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
