

Bea Bloss was born on January 8, 1920 to Jesse David Walker and Mary Jane (Sharp) Walker in Wilson, Oklahoma. She graduated nursing school in 1941 and entered the Army Nursing Corp in 1945. After WW II she married Claude Marion Bloss in 1947. They lived in Holdenville and Oklahoma City. During her time in Oklahoma City she returned to nursing part-time at Presbyterian Hospital. She was a very active member of Nichols Hills United Methodist Church helping with MYF and later serving on the Alter Guild and the Covenant Care Committee. She loved participating in art class, ceramics class, bridge groups and collecting penguin figurines. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and the first one in the neighborhood to welcome the newcomer.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her older brother and her husband. Survivors include a daughter, Hannah Nowlin of Oklahoma City, a son Mike Bloss and his wife Kim of Denver, Colorado, two grandchildren, Natalie Bray of Houston, Texas and Cassie Beyer of Fort Worth, Texas as well as two great-grandchildren, Barrett and Sloane Bray of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by brother Lloyd Walker and wife Jo of Oklahoma City and sister Marilyn Zimmerman and husband Bill of Vernal, Utah.
Memorial services will be held at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm Friday, January 16th.
