

Benjamin Odisho Abbo, born April 16, 1954, in Iraq, passed away after a life marked by deep love for family, the sea, and adventure. He came to the United States at a young age and made Oklahoma City his home.
Benjamin was the father of three sons from previous marriages: David, Joey, and Jason, all of Oklahoma City. He also shared a profoundly special bond with his nephew, Adrian, whom he loved and regarded as a son.
An avid fisherman, Benjamin found great joy in the ocean and cherished time spent on the beautiful island of Ambergris Caye in Belize, Central America.
He is survived by his longtime companion of 25 years, Amalia Gomez-Wilkinson, affectionately known to him as Nellie; his brother, Adam; and his sisters, Jenny, Rosa, and Maryam.
Benjamin’s greatest joy was his grandchildren: Zillah, MaKenzie, Trinity, Aaliyah, Aden, Kassidy, Presley, and his great-granddaughter, Victoria. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Benjamin was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, located at 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK, 73162, US. The service is scheduled for January 30, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm.
