

Bernie Virgil Trumbly passed away at home on Wednesday April 13th, 2022, after a valiant battle with Alzheimer’s. Virgil was born on September 14th, 1934, in Oklahoma to Egbert Lee and Effie May Trumbly.
Virgil grew up in Oklahoma City where he married Wanda in 1953. They moved to Blanchard, began a family and were active members at Linn Ave Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Virgil enjoyed dirt bikes, woodworking, boating, golfing and most importantly spending time with his family. He was a man of faith, integrity, and kindness.
Virgil is survived by his spouse Wanda; his son Raymond and daughter in-law Carol of Savannah Georgia, daughter Virginia of Blanchard, Oklahoma; grandchildren Alan (Lisa) Trumbly of Murphy TX, Melanie (Kevin) Ornelas of Tuttle OK, Stacy (Joe) Valentine of Blanchard, OK Brian Trumbly of Ft. Smith AR, and Derrick (Meghan) Cummings of Yankton SD; great-grandchildren Claire, Cathryn, Logan, Caden, Carys, Jonathan, Cooper, Ellie, and Madison; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents Egbert and Effie May Trumbly, siblings, Viola Lee, Eugene Trumbly, Lola Stanton, Albert Trumbly, Mildred Beaver, Jewell Burk, Pearl Trumbly, and Virgie Fish.
A funeral service will be held at Hahn-Cook Funeral Home at 6600 Broadway Ext. Oklahoma City, OK 73116 at 10:30am, on Monday, April 18, 2022. Burial to follow at funeral at Rose Hill Burial Park.
