On November 23rd, 1943, in Hugo, Oklahoma, Bobbie Jo Brown was born to O.D. Shoals and Jamie Lee Frazier, the third oldest of 13 children. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Hugo and later moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she met Ricky Carter. Together, they welcomed a son named William Frazier.
She returned to Oklahoma City and became a waitress at Beef & Buns restaurant. Eventually, she married Richard White, with whom she had three more children: Richard White, Stephanie Butler, and Crystal White.
She became a wife and a homemaker and met her good friend Doris Wheeler. They were friends for over 50 years. Bobbie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She started her mornings with a cup of black coffee and had a passionate love for barbecue, especially ribs. She loved to cook and would feed anybody. In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching criminal shows like Law & Order, Blue Blood, and CSI, as well as recently
starting to watch Tulsa King. Music was also a significant part of her life; she listened to gospel tunes regularly on her phone or TV. All those that had a chance to meet our mother, no matter what age, she did not let you walk in the house and not speak. She would always say “did I sleep with you last night?”, we’re going to miss that about her.
Known for her sweet, kind-hearted, and compassionate personality, Bobbie was a strong Christian woman who would never bite her tongue. Her brother, Cooper, noted that she was a bit of a cheater in spades and dominoes.
Bobbie goes to celebrate in heaven with her parents, O.D. Shoals and Jamie Lee Frazier, Brothers Charles Frazier, Benny Cooper, Mike Frazier, Harry Shoats, Delmus Frazier, and Elmus Frazier, Sisters
Felicia Watts and Brenda Frazier, Niece April Frazier, and grandchildren Latavia Locke and Keyondra Gattney.
