Growing up Bobby was a Boy Scout and attended John Marshall High School, graduating Class of 1960, and went on to attend two years of college at Central State University, now UCO, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Bobby married the love of his life, Flo Ann Aven on March 3, 1962; they were married for 62 years, raising two beautiful daughters together Connie and Kelly.
Bobby’s daughters were his pride and joy. He often spent his days volunteering for Camp Fire Girls, was a Do Dad for Camp Dakani, and coached softball as well. He was a member of the Village Christian Church and worked as a house detailer for his brother with Freeman Homes for many years.
He was a compassionate and caring family man who loved to laugh, enjoyed watching comedies and listening to Country Western music. Bobby was known to take Flo out on a movie date often, they would even spend the whole day at the theater watching different movies. When he wasn’t working outside, he could be found watching Roy Rogers and other classic cowboy movies. Bobby could not stop laughing when Tim Conway was on the Carol Burnett show and even had a beloved horse collection.
Bobby was the best husband, a loving daddy, and a caring papa/grandpa. He would do anything for anyone. His generous spirit will be deeply missed.
He is survived by wife, Flo Ann Aven Freeman; daughters Connie Rae Holt and husband Tom, of Midwest City, OK, and Kelly Lynn Danaher of Norman, OK; brother Eugene Dale Freeman and wife Debi of Nichols Hills, OK; sisters Sharon Kay Tolliver and Gayla Ann Weldon of The Village, OK; as well as 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one on the way.
