2/24/1980-7/11/2025
Brad, a devoted father, lifelong farmer and cherished member of the Jones and surrounding communities, passed away on 7/11/2025 at the age of 45. Known for his strong work ethic, loud strength, and generous heart. Brad leaves behind a legacy rooted in love, faith and the land and livestock he tended with care.
Born in OKC in 1980, Brad was the son of Jeanna Searight and the late David McMichael. From a young age, he found his purpose in the field, learning the values of hard work, responsibility and humility. He would go on to dedicate his life to farming and livestock. Working on the same land that had been in his family for generations. Whether planting in the spring, harvesting in the fall, or helping a neighbor in need, Brad approached each day with steady hands and a grateful heart.
Beyond the fields, Brad’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted and extremely proud father to Rylan McMichael, raising him with the same principles that guided his life. Rylan will remember his father as a strong and resilient, loving father that led with loudness. His legacy continues in his life and the lives of his family and community, who brought him endless joy.
Brad was a man of simple pleasures-early mornings black coffee, the hum of a tractor and the company of good friends and family. He had a deep appreciation for nature and a very loud and colorful humor that would catch you by surprise and stay with you long after. He was a trusted neighbor, always willing to lend a hand and was respected deeply by all that knew him.
Brad is survived by his son Rylan McMichael, his cherished dog Roxy, his mother Jeanna Searight, sister Mindy Davis, Grandmother Carolyn Jutz, Aunt Kathy and Allen Ensley, Uncle Ronnie and Vickie Jones, Aunt Lynda and Chris Enz. Uncle Rick McMichael, Uncle Dale McMichael. His fiancé, Jennifer Green, and her children, Aiden and Bryce. A host of cousins, friends, family and farmers.
Preceded in death by his father, David McMichael, his great-grandparents Clint and Helen Jones, his grandfather Eugene Jutz, his grandparents Mary Jo and Kenneth McMichael, and Uncle Keith McMichael.
