Brenda Gail Collins

Brenda Gail Collins, 64, of OKC passed from this life on March 19, 2018. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral Service and a public visitation will be held at 1pm-6pm on Saturday at Advantage Funeral & Cremation at 7720 S. Penn in SW OKC.

Brenda was born on March 8, 1954 in Yuma, AZ to Arthur and Jadie Anderson. She attended Yuma High School and following school she married and had two children Tammy and Ammy. She later gave birth to two more daughters Tina and Donna. Brenda spent the majority of her life working as a waitress. In 1995 she moved to the OKC metro area and met Don Collins. Brenda and Don were married in May of 1996 and this union added two more children to Brenda’s family Audra and Jason. Brenda and Don were best friends who spent nearly 22 years together before her passing.

Brenda enjoyed going to Mini Ha Ha Bingo, watching western movies with Don, collecting Knick knacks, crocheting blankets for her family, keeping up with friends and family on facebook, and doing crossword puzzles.

Brenda made a profound impact on the lives of all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters :Betty, Ruby, Helen, Jewel, and Mary; a brother Robert Anderson, and a step-daughter Audra Collins. She is survived by her soulmate and husband Don Collins; 5 children: Tammy Tipton and husband Gary, Ammy Grimmett and Clark Bender, Tina Hartlage and husband Rick, Donna Thomas and husband James, and Jason Collins and wife Dawn. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and another on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
